Have you entered the treasuries of the snow?

Or have you seen the treasuries of the hail,

Job 38:22 (AMP)

For I know the Lord is great and that our Lord is above all gods.

Whatever the Lord pleases, that He has done in the heavens and on earth,

in the seas and all deeps-

Who causes the vapors to arise from the ends of the earth,

Who makes lightnings for the rains, Who brings the wind out of His storehouses;

Psalm 135:5-7 (AMP)

When the first snowfall of the season comes, we usually tend to focus on the negative- that we will have to shovel the snow if it gets too deep, or we have to drive in it- but do we see the beauty?

Do we see that our Great God has treasuries of snow? That He alone has caused the vapors to arise from the ends of the earth, just so He could make the snowflakes?

When was the last time you looked at a snowflake? Each snowflake has its own snow print, no two are alike. Just as unique as each person, and each person’s fingerprints, God has made each snowflake. God took special care in creating us, and takes no less care when He creates a snowflake. Each one He stores in His treasury, waiting for that perfect moment to let it tumble back to earth so we may enjoy His greatness again.

Have you watched a snow fall, tumbling and twirling, dancing in the wind, until it reaches its resting place? Have you felt the snowflake tickle your nose, or kiss your cheek? Can you feel the awe and wonder when you see the fresh blanket that God has covered the earth with? The sleeping trees and grasses know their Creator has prepared it especially for them.

Can you see the greatness of our God and thank Him for His goodness when you see His handiwork in the snowfall? Just as the spring rain clears the air, and leaves a freshness, so the snow does! Look how the snow glistens and sparkles as the sun touches it, like a million diamonds! Each one was made by God because He is pleased to create it in heaven and on earth, and to bring you joy!
