There are times, when life keeps me worn out, and pushed down. I wonder what my true purpose is. Do I really have anything to say? The things I do, does it really make a difference? But then something begins to rise within me.

I am a child of the King. He knew me before the foundations of the world. I have been placed here for such a time as this.

Sure, life gets overwhelming, and the direction of my life may be clouded. But God has a plan. I may not always see, or know exactly what the next step is, but He is with me. I may fall down, but He picks me up. I may be timid, but He encourages me on. I may grow weary, but He renews my strength.

The truth is, I have to fully rely on Jesus.

The circumstances of life will wear me out, tear me down and leave me trampled and destroyed. People will fail and even hurt me. The darkness of this world will scare me.

Oh, but Jesus will never leave me. He is my Shepherd, who leads and guides me. He protects me from those who seek to destroy me. He covers me with His loving arms and shelters me from the storms that rage. He is my Peace in troubled times. My Comforter when I am broken. When I need a friend, there is no one closer than Jesus.

He is my Healer when sickness and pain come to my body. He is my Joy in the midnight hour. Jesus is my Shield when attacks come against me. He is my Strong Tower and Refuge through the fight.

There is no one like Jesus. He is everything to me. I know that whatever life may bring, I am not alone. I have a Father who cares for me, and loves me, more than any person ever can. I know that His plan for my life is good.

I may not always know what to say, but I have found if I always ask Him to speak through me, the right words will come, to help encourage someone, even if that someone is only myself.  His Word speaks life to the broken, hurting, alone and weak.

And those who know Your name will put their trust in You;
For You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You.
